Minister of State for Employment Festus Keyamo, who is also the spokesperson for the APC presidential candidate, gave the reasons why Vice President Yemi Osinbajo does not sit on the party’s presidential campaign council in power, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the list of 422 members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council released Friday, September 23 in Abuja, President Muhammadu Buhari is the chairman of the campaign council which includes the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the national chairman. of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, as vice-president, one and two respectively.

Nigerians raised eyebrows when Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who was a presidential candidate at last June’s convention where Tinubu emerged as flag bearer, was absent from the list.

In a statement issued this afternoon, Keyamo clarified that President Buhari had requested that Osinbajo and the Federation government secretary, Boss Mustapha, be excluded from the campaign council so that they could focus on the governance of the country and government administration. .
