BREAKING: Kenya Power Restores Power After Nationwide Blackout
Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has restored power in various parts of the country following a nationwide blackout.
According to KPLC, the blackout was caused after Kiambere – Embakasi main power line collapsed.
“We have lost power supply due to collapsed towers at the Kiambere – Embakasi high voltage transmission power line at 10:45 am this morning,” read the Kenya Power statement in part.
In a statement, the company said Nairobi, Western Kenya, Mt Kenya, North Rift, South Nyanza, and Central Rift areas has been restored.
The company said that its team is still working to restore the power supply in the remaining areas affected by the outage.
However, it has not stated the exact time that the full power outage will be corrected.
