Youth and education

Esther Akoth was born on April 8, 1983 in Kisumu County, Kenya. She grew up in Migori. Her father is an administrator, while her mother is a politician.

Esther’s primary education is unclear to the public, but she went to Nyabisawa Girls’ Secondary School. She was in love with a guy when she was still in high school, and the relationship was serious, which caused her to drift away from her husband.

She ran to Awendo in Migori County to live with her mother-in-law and was a housewife for seven years. Her boyfriend was still in school at the time.

Esther became pregnant and gave birth to her first born at the age of 14, followed by her second born at 15 and her third born at 16.

She gave birth to her fourth child in 2000 and broke up with her husband the same year due to differences between them.

Esther and her husband got together after her husband finished college and she decided to complete her own high school education also at Kanyasrega High School. She then joined her husband in Nairobi, where he got a job, but he left her as things improved for her husband.

Career

After her husband left her, she went to Mombasa to join her brother who ran a taxi business. After running the taxi business, they split the profits and she used the money to support her family.

Esther met someone in turn in the taxi business, and the person wondered what could bring a beautiful lady like her to this kind of job, he invited her to his home and they started a relationship. After a while, both moved to Zurich, Switzerland.

She got pregnant with the man and realized later in nine months that he was only interested in having a baby with her. Esther angrily left Switzerland and returned to Kenya to start music.

Musical career

Esther started her musical career in 2008. Since then she has released many songs and collaborated with local and international artists such as Mc Galaxy, Flavor, Diamond Platinum, Ok, etc

In March 2020, she released a hit single titled “Wild as”. It was a song in the Kamba language.

Business career

Esther created a travel and excursion agency called Akothee Safaris, in Nairobi, Kenya, his daughter is the director of the company. She is also the owner of a charity organization called the Akothee Foundation, business oriented, she has also invested in real estate called Aknotela and Akothee houses.

Private life

Esther is the mother of five children, three girls and two boys. She owns a mansion in Mombasa, Migori County and Zurich.

She ranked 11th among the most followed East African celebrities on Instagram.
