A Balenciaga ad campaign showing children holding bondage teddy bears has sparked furious online backlash.
The fashion giant posted images of children cuddling the dodgy stuffed animals on its online store.
The ads were meant to promote items from their gift line, including reusable coffee mugs and dog harnesses.
But critics slammed the campaign on social media because of the teddy bears’ surprisingly daring BDSM outfit.
In one image, a red-haired girl was seen sporting a branded t-shirt while holding a leather strap connected to a white plush.
As well as having spiky leather bracelets around the bear’s arms and legs, the stuffed animal contained a chain and padlock around its neck.
To make matters worse, a court document is visible in one of the publicity photos. The document includes words like “pornography” and “sexual intercourse”.
Parents criticized Balenciaga and accused them of sexualizing children.
TV host, Tucker Carlson, also discussed TV advertising and called out his brand.
In the wake of the controversy, fashion designers deleted all of their online content on Instagram before new images were released on Monday.
