Amotekun arrests notorious thug terrorizing Osun community
Members of Amotekun Corps arrested a 35-year-old man, Tunde Abidoye, who was terrorizing Ileogbo residents in Ayedire Local Government Area, Osun State.
Brigadier General. Bashir Adewinmbi (Rtd), commander of Osun Amotekun, who made it known to reporters in Osogbo over the weekend, said the suspect had been arrested following a complaint filed with Ayedire’s command regarding his criminal activities.
“The alleged thug was arrested on Friday after a complaint was lodged at Ayedire local government command that the suspect was initiating terrorist attacks against innocent people in ileogbo and also destroying their properties and our men moved on to the action shortly after the complaint was filed and the culprit was arrested and a single barrel pistol was found on him at the time of his arrest,” the Amotekun boss said.
“The suspect was also accused of causing violence during the last presidential election in the city by shooting people who wanted to exercise their civil responsibility and he planned to disrupt the election of the Chamber of Deputies on Saturday before being arrested. During the investigation, he admitted to carrying out the act,” Adewinmbi added.
He added that the suspect had been handed over to the police for further investigation and questioning.
He called on the general public to always give useful information that would help in the fight against crime and crime.
