Afflicted women strip naked outside the US Embassy to protest the result of the 2023 presidential election
A group of women protested Monday, March 27 outside the US Embassy in Abuja over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
The women, who are members of the Free Nigeria Movement, were at the US Embassy to report the alleged fraud that occurred in the 2023 elections.
Some of the women stripped out of their indoor clothes during the protest.
They had placards on which were written messages expressing their grievances.
The demonstrators called on the US government to ban visas for the instigators of the violence during the ballot.
This comes barely a month after Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral, INEC.
Tinubu was declared the winner of the 2023 elections. His closest challengers, People’s Democratic Party candidates, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Labor Party’s Peter Obi have since petitioned the Electoral Tribunal seeking redress.
