Actress Amanda Bynes placed in a psychiatric hospital after being found naked wandering the streets

Actress Amanda Bynes has been taken into psychiatric detention after she was found walking naked down the street.

The ‘She’s the Man’ actress was seen strolling alone near downtown Los Angeles without clothes in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, March 19.

She allegedly waved at a car and informed the driver that she was coming out of a psychotic episode, then called 911 herself.

Bynes was then taken to a nearby police station, police sources told TMZ, and a mental health team determined that she should be placed in psychiatric detention 5150.

A 5150 detention is a kind of involuntary detention, in which a person can be detained for up to 72 hours. A hold can also be extended depending on the case.

Sources also told TMZ that Bynes appeared uninjured during the ordeal and is currently hospitalized.
