A 30-year-old prophet from the Cherubim and Seraphim Church arrested for allegedly defiling two underage sisters and impregnating one of them in Ogun
A 30-year-old prophet from the Cherubim and Seraphim Ajuwon Church, Prophet Joseph Ogundeji, has been arrested by men from the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly desecrating two underage sisters who are members of his church .
The suspect was arrested on November 11, 2022, following a complaint filed at Ajuwon Division Headquarters by the father of the two underage girls, who said he discovered his 16-year-old daughter was pregnant, and when ‘ he asked to know who was responsible for the pregnancy, it was discovered that the prophet was the one who impregnated her.
SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who is the spokesperson for the State Police Command, said on the report, DPO Ajuwon Division, SP Andrew Akinseye detailed his detectives to carry out the arrest of the Prophet.
”During interrogation, the Prophet admitted that he had indeed committed the crime. During the investigation, it was discovered that the said prophet had not only had carnal relations with the 16-year-old girl, but that her 13-year-old younger sister had also been defiled by the same prophet.
The two victims informed the police that each time they had a vigil at the church, the prophet who lives very close to the church asked them to go and stay at his house after the vigil which always ends around 3 p.m. morning.
They further stated that whenever they stayed in the house of the Prophet, he used to give them something to lick, and after licking it, they would sleep only to wake up and find that the Prophet had sex with them. ”Oyeyemi said.
The spokesperson added that when asked why they did not notify their parents, the victims told police that the suspect had threatened to kill any of them who let the cat out of the bag.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner, CP Lanre Bankole, ordered that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Departments Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labor Unit for investigation. further investigation and possible prosecution.
