The Osun State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revealed that 27 corps members will have their year of service extended for various offences.
The NYSC also said 20 corps members fled during the 2021 Batch C Stream II service year.
Osun NYSC State Coordinator Olayinka Abdulwahab made this known during the low-key passing out ceremony held for Batch C Stream II 2021 on Thursday, November 17.
During the ceremony held at local government secretariats across the state, Abdulwahab said that a total of 2870 members of the 2021 C Stream II Corps have successfully completed their mandatory service of a year in the nation.
She said: “I salute you for successfully progressing through the four cardinal programs of the program and for being good ambassadors for the program at your various locations of primary duty station during the year of service.
“I commended the tenacity and tenacity of the members of the Corps and thank you for having a positive impact on the lives of the people of the State.
“A total of 20 Corps members fled, while 27 had their year of service extended for various offences.”
She added that news reports about the conduct of corps members from various neighborhoods and corps employers around the state indicate that the program truly lives up to its name and goals.
