23-year-old makeup artist shot dead by gunmen targeting her male companion
A 23-year-old makeup artist, Moesha Heath, was shot dead outside her home in Sheffield, Westmoreland, Jamaica
The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
According to Jamaica Observer, Heath, otherwise known as “Momo” and a male companion entered their yard, exiting their vehicle they were approached by three men coming from the back of their home.
One of the men called the man and told him not to move, after which they opened fire on them.
They both ran in different directions; however, the male companion managed to escape unharmed and called the police.
When the lawmen arrived, Heath was seen lying on her back near the entrance to her home with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the area of her head and upper body.
She was then transported to the public general hospital in Savanna-la-Mar, where she was pronounced dead.
No motive has yet been established for the murder.
