Seventeen Boko Haram terrorists, including their family members, surrendered to the Nigerian Army in Borno State.
The terrorists surrendered with their weapons to the troops of the Task Force 151st Battalion deployed at Banki-Junction in the Bama Local Government Area of the State.
The military, in a statement issued on Tuesday, September 20, said the terrorists surrendered due to new military attacks by the valiant troops of Operation Hadin Kai.
“The profiling of terrorists who have surrendered is ongoing,” the statement added.
The latest development comes days after a chief executioner of Shekau’s faction, Bashir Bulabuduwaye, recently surrendered to Nigerian troops.
Bulabuduwaye, alongside his wives and children, surrendered to Operation Hadin Kai troops stationed in Baking, Bama.
